木材と金属で家具を製作するKITA works 主宰 木多隆志の“ The Chair ”を開催します。
同じ岡山で活動をする木多氏とは何度も一緒に展を開催してきました。繰り返す対話の中から一度立ち返り今まで製作してきたものを一堂に見ていただく機会を設ける展示会をしようという話となりました。
本展はこれまで製作してきたKITA worksの椅子を一堂にご覧いただきオーダーしていただける展示会となります。木と鉄やステンレスなど様々な材を組み合わせた椅子たちが並びます。この機会に是非ご覧ください。
パンチングメタルを曲げた座面から背もたれは計算されたしなり具合が心地良い。
一筆書きのような流れるようなデザインが美しく、
溶接跡はできるだけ磨きをかけるなど、細かな部分にも気を配られた椅子となります。

【KITAWORKS / 木多隆志】
先代より引き継いだ熔接工場を2009年KITAWORKSと改名し、その後岡山県内外の住宅や店舗、施設に向け、空間に合わせた家具や什器、設備を作る。熔接技術を生かした製作を得意とし、鉄・ステンレス・アルミ・銅・真鍮などの金属を取り入れた数多くのアイテムを生み出す。
