小川真由子さんは921GALLERYでは4回目のご紹介となります。
パート・ド・ヴェールとは、鋳型にガラスの粉を流し込み、窯で焼成して器を作る、古代より伝わる技法です。
氏は今展覧会で、明かり取りの小窓から着想を得た平面作品を新作として発表しました。シンプルな形の中で色彩表現の幅が広がり、ガラスの内側に粉の層による奥行きを感じ、入り込むことができます。
器作品は一つずつ石膏型を壊して取り出し、丁寧に磨き上げます。型特有の静謐な形や、作為と無作為が共存する流動模様が見て取れます。触り心地や光の通り方も、使う中でお楽しみいただけます。

This artwork will be shipped after the exhibition concludes and the hanging wire on the back has been replaced at the artist's studio.
