921GALLERYでは3回目となる、佐野元春さんの個展を開催いたします。柔らかい白を纏った作品が届きました。それらを並べたとき、私は道具というよりも、抽象的な道具の形をした土の塊を眺めている気持ちになりました。
端正に整えられた造形と白い余白の中に、土と親しんだ手の跡や土本来の色質感が残されています。作品全体が白いベールに覆われたように、その内側の要素は織りなされ、ひとつひとつが特徴的な “姿” を生み出しています。

つい撫でたくなるような兎の毛にも見えるような質感があります。
2種類の釉薬を掛けることで生まれる佐野さんの作品独自の表情です。
